Glad I bought it retail. I don't often say that, but this time I am glad. I bought an HP desktop computer, which, of course, came pre-loaded with Windows Vista (pronounced 'windows crap-bag').

Dave, I know you're into windows vista , but it's given me nothing but trouble.

My advice for those who want to buy vista? Just go ahead and join the military or have yourself tarred & feathered instead. It'll be less stressful.

HP is going to repair it because I got it retail. And, it only took about 30 minutes on their online chat-tech-support. Oy.

   Never use a Windows operating system until at least 1 service pack has been released, that's my motto. :)

   Everyone I knows says that Vista is the ghetto brother of the Mac system anyway. Wait til Leopard comes out later this year for MAC! Cool stuff!

   Alice, every time you recommend me getting a mac, you're not around because you're having problems with your Mac. Mac O$ is Linux with a name-tag now, which is more stable and secure than Windows, and absolutely free.
   
   Popular kids use windows.
   Rich kids use macs.
   Smart kids use Linux.
   
   I'll be working a dual boot with Linux and Windows.
