Ends up there are a lot of people who search the web for deals, and they've started forums in a few places. My favorite is Slickdeals.net , another is fatwallet.com .
Just a couple of things I've done within the last 30 days thanks to Slick Deals:
- Saved $30 on fish and supplies for my aquarium from Petsmart with printable coupons
- Have a rebate coupon to get 4 free movie tickets for spending $3 at Del Taco on my American Express card
- Found Lord of the Rings hardcover boxed set for $10 at Barnes & Noble online store (with coupons from the forum)
- Compared interest rates on dozens of banks
These are good sites.
I tend to use http://www.boddit.com because they aggregate deals from all of these different websites.
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the link! I'm checking it out now. It looks like it's the best way to get the deals fastest. I think I'll add www.boddit.com to my google homepage rss aggregator.
I can't stop watching the forums though. One of the things I like most about the forums at slickdeals.net is that recent posts move the topic to the top of the forum - that way you'll find old 'deals' that are still valid.
